 The ripples in the sand on the dune draw the eyes upward toward the blue sky. The lens of the camera allows us to inspect, close up, patterns in nature that the naked eye might not readily notice. A simple composition, perhaps, but a thought provoking one. What's on the other side of the dune? How tall is the dune? But, mostly, we just let our eyes have their fill as they travel through the photograph, soaking up the beauty found there. Photographed at Dog Island, FL
