![]() "I think that I shall never see some thing as lovely as a tree." The ethereal beauty of these dwarf cypress trees inspires poetic expression. Normally reaching over one hundred feet, because of lack of certain nutrients in the area, these cypress only reach six to seven feet. I photographed them on a spring morning, just at daybreak, when the light was soft and the forest quiet. I was rewarded not only by experiencing the beauty of the trees, but also by the sighting of two black bears, far off in the distance, too far away to photograph. It was a time to remember.
