Jean Boles has a simple concept of her work: Endeavor to capture nature's glory as her eyes perceive it. A number of her customers have said that she "has a good eye." Fortunately, she also has an innate talent for "seeing the light," a prerequisite for photographers who must literally "paint with light." She uses no special color filters on her camera, and no manipulation is used either during the photography or during the printing process to alter what the eye perceived.
No expense is spared when transferring Jean Boles' captured image from the original transparency to the finished fine art photograph. First, using the latest technology, the film is digitally scanned on a high-resolution drum scanner. Next, Jean works with her master printer, using any normal dark-room type adjustments that might be necessary, such as contrast and color saturation control, removing dust or scratch marks, cropping, etc. Together, they create a master digital file from which the final photograph is printed.
Each image is printed in limited editions of 950. Jean personally signs each photograph, and they are presented with a written description of her thoughts about that particular work. When ordering a 16x22, 22x30, or 30x40, a 1/2" x 3" brass plate with the title of the photograph on it will be included at no additional charge. You may have your custom framer attach this title to the bottom center of your selected frame to better enhance the enjoyment of the art for you and other observers.
